Yes! Come join in
the fun.
Q:
How many people usually show up for the event?
A:
The registration spots are currently limited to 20 people.
Q:
What is Addicted to LAN Gaming?
A:
We are a group of people who enjoy getting together with
others and
playing games against each other
on computers networked together.
Q:
When
is the event held?
A:
The event usually occurs every four to six weeks, starting
at noon on a Saturday. You may check for tentative future dates
HERE.
Q:
What time does the event start?
A:
On the scheduled day, starting at
10:00 a.m.
Q:
What time does the event end?
A:
When everyone has had enough fragging, but it could be earlier or later due
to attendance or scheduling problems.
Q:
Where is the event held?
A:
Currently at the home of Black_Knight & Black_Rose in
Joliet, Illinois. You will get address and directions after you register.
Q:
What is the minimum age requirement?
A: The current minimum
age to attend our event is 18 years old at the
time of the event. You may attend if you are under age 18 if you and
your parents have signed a
WAIVER and
with the staff consent, after staff
has spoke with your parents. If you are under 16 you must also have
someone that is 18 or older with you all the time in addition to the waiver
and staff talking with your parents.

Internet, Network and Computer Requirements:
Q:
Will there be Internet access?
A:
At this time we have broadband connection.
Q:
Can I trade files?
A:
Addicted 2 LAN Gaming does not want you to break any laws.
What you do with your computer is your business. (please read our
WAIVER)
Q:
Can I bring a second computer?
A:
You will get one outlet to plug all our equipment into,
which for power
reasons you may plug two items into. For power reasons, if you want to
bring more than one computer, you can pay for two seats.
Q:
Can I bring my own game server?
A:
Yes you can ! Our facility providers have designated an area for such
a purpose - hook it up to the switch and KVM and you're ready to go.
Please e-mail
STAFF so
we will be prepared to expect it.
Q:
What are the minimum PC requirements?
A:
I'm talking MINIMUM here, but at least a Pentium II 400
class or
better with 3D accelerator, gForce II class or better. With this, don't expect
stellar frames per second in Battlefield 1942!

Cost and Registration:
Q:
How much does it cost to attend?
A:
We currently charge $10 via PayPal when you register
online, or $15 at the door for walk-ins if we have any available seats
left. Also note that walk-ins cost $5 more than if you were to pre-pay.
Why, you ask? We need to be sure to purchase enough snacks and drinks, not to
forget that we also are limited to our seating capacity, and if we don't know
how many people are going to be there, then it makes things quite difficult to
plan.
Q:
Why does it cost?
A:
For food, some of the prizes and equipment add up quick.
Also, we have door prizes and tournament prizes. We also provide possibly the
best place in the area to LAN.
Q:
Do I have to register for EVERY event?
A:
Yes.
Q:
I registered a while ago and have not heard anything, what
do I do?
A:
Did you supply us with a VALID e-mail address during the
registration process? Is the e-mail account still active? Did you check your
e-mail? If you have not appeared on the Who's Coming page within 24 hours of
registering, please e-mail
STAFF.
Q:
Registration is closed, can I get in anyway?
A:
Sometimes we'll have spots still open by the time of the
event in which
case you may attend as a walk-in, providing there is space left for you.
Q:
I prepaid and I can't make it to the event, what can I do?
A:
If you can't make it, let us know via e-mail and tell us
if you would like
for us to carry over your payment to the next event or refunded back to
your PayPal account. If you want to give your spot to another attendee
who meets the requirements, you will need to notify us via e-mail prior
to the event pre-registration closing time. Failure to notify one of the
organizers in enough time will result in forfeiture of the entire prepay
amount.
Q:
Who do I contact for further registration questions or
issues?
A:
Contact
STAFF for
our registration organizer.
